Types of Funds …
...Find the perfect fund for your client's charitable giving

You know your clients well. They respect and trust you. You provide them with the confidence and security of good financial planning. Let us help you work with them to feel equally confident about how they give.

The Charitable Funds below provide great giving options. We are happy to explain them in full so your clients will choose just the right one.

Donor Advised Funds
A personal “hands-on” approach to giving
Through your Donor Advised Fund, you can give to any charity you wish both local and beyond. You or your client work closely with program staff to recommend grants to support the needs you most care about. Gifts may be made in your fund’s name or anonymously. You may also include your family in your fund’s activity or as future donor-advisors.

Designated Funds
For donors with specific charities in mind
Through your Designated Fund you can make grants to one or more specific charitable organizations of your choice. Your gift provides not only funding, but planned giving and investment management services.

Field of Interest Funds
To benefit specific areas of community life
Through your Field of Interest Fund, you can support charitable groups working in an area of specific interest (at-risk children or the environment). Your giving may be in a specific town or across CCF’s eight counties.

Unrestricted Funds
To meet ever-changing community needs
Through your Unrestricted Fund, you empower CCF to make grant decisions in your fund’s name to address the community’s most pressing and changing needs through annual competitive grant programs to which all nonprofit groups may apply.

Organization Endowments
For non-profit groups to ensure their future
Through an Organization Endowment Fund you can support the on-going, operational needs of a particular nonprofit organization. It’s a simple and efficient way to create a permanent source of funding for your favorite charity.

Scholarships
A good life begins with a good education
Through your Scholarship Fund, you can help deserving students attend high school or college. Working with CCF staff and the school(s), you establish selection criteria to choose those students to further their educational goals.

Affiliate Foundations
An alternative to private foundations

An Affiliate Foundation provides your client with an excellent alternative to the creation of a private foundation. With an Affiliate Foundation, your client selects a governing board, which makes all of the grantmaking decisions, while CCF provides
investment management, startup costs, grant administration, expertise on local non-profits.

Your clients may also take funds from their money management accounts, such as Fidelity, to give locally through CCF.  An Affiliate Foundation also allows your clients to be anonymous.

Let CCF take care of all the paperwork headaches, while your client enjoys the giving.

Please contact CCF staff for more information at (843)723-3635 or info@CCFgives.org

Mr. and Mrs. James D. Lubs created the first Unrestricted Fund at CCF twenty years ago with $11,000 and hoped to build it to $25,000.  In 2005, it passed the $125,000 mark!"

Mr. Lubs also served on the CCF board; chaired the first Investment Committee and was the chief architect of CCF's longterm investment policy.
