Designated Funds
For Donors with Specific Charities in Mind

A designated fund is the ideal way for you to permanently support one or more specific charities that are special to you.

Each year grants are awarded to your favorite organization(s) from the earnings on your fund. You may add to your fund at any time, receiving the maximum tax benefit allowable with each new gift. You can also ensure that your fund will always support work you value by giving the CCF Board the authority to reallocate your funds should the original organization cease to exist.

Individual Donor
A Personal Connection

Jerry and Anita Zucker have long been at the forefront of philanthropy in the Lowcountry, and they give in every way. They give their time, their energy, their brainpower and their financial resources. And their giving fully reflects who they are.

Anita’s experiences as a former school teacher and now as a mom fuel her fight for excellence in education. The young scientist in Jerry will never grow old as he judges science fairs and supports Garrett Academy and the SC Aquarium along with many other organizations that inspire budding scientific minds.

Both Jerry and Anita embody a resilient optimism that change is always possible. This optimism is shown through the organizations they have dedicated so much of their time to and that they have chosen to support in perpetuity through 10 Designated Funds supporting charities such as Crisis Ministries, Hotline and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Here, Jerry joins Anita as she accepts the community’s 2000 Haven Award for Selfless Community Giving.
