Daisy Hamilton stands proudly in front of her home in downtown Beaufort. There are new floors in her sitting room and kitchen. The roof is tight, and the walls are freshly spackled and sealed.  Thanks to help from CCF's Beaufot Fund, she now has a safe, dry home. “It’s been a blessing,” she says. The renovation of Daisy’s home is part of an overall neighborhood improvement program, “Project Repair,” which is administered by the City of Beaufort to assist with home repairs for low-income homeowners who are elderly, physically or mentally handicapped, or single parents. City Councilwoman Donnie Beer (at right) championed the original idea.

In Beaufort County, CCF and its donors also support the Franciscan Center, Thumbs Up, Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, Coastal Conservation League, and Meals on Wheels.
